Description

A limited production, “Reserve” level wine (only 420 cases made), using grapes from top-tier vineyard sites exclusively, and then selecting only the best barrels for the blend, in order to achieve the most elegant, refined expression of its rugged terroir.

Fully mature now, this wine gives and gives: aromatically complex and enchanting, ethereal, lacy, all nuance and elegance. We suggest drinking it anytime during the next 5-10 years.

Blend: 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc.

This is an a-typical Cabernet-based wine for California, being distinctly terroir-driven, with no makeup or embellishment whatsoever.    

Note: This wine has been stored in the winery cellar since its inception. That is a dry cellar, and the corks are often brittle and crumbly. Use caution when uncorking, preferably using an ah-so type opener or, even better, a “Durant”  .
