Description
Hidden in the dense cedar and tan oak forests of the North Yuba Sierra Foothills, this 1/4-acre jewel of a vineyard produces tiny quantities of this enticing Gewürztraminer. A south-facing decomposed granite slope at 2900 feet altitude.
this wine was 100% foot-stomped and fermented on its skins/stems, exactly as we make our reds. Barrel aged for about 10 months in neutral oak barrels on the primary lees. Minimal amount of Sulfur dioxide added at crush and bottling.
The wine is moderate in alcohol and medium-bodied, intensely aromatic and flavorful, mouth-filling and densely textured. Complex and refreshing with good acidity.
Alcohol: 12.6%
